Orange

As a part of color week, I was looking for orange. I live in Knoxville, Tennessee, home of the Big Orange. The University's school colors are orange and white. I took this photo when I was in a photojournalism class.

I thought that was the only orange in my life, but then I noticed my coffee cup.

It's funny, I didn't think I liked orange much, or had all that much of it, but when I started looking...

So this colour week is great fun, isn't it? Thanks for your blog.

A bientot from France.

Hi Be, thanks for your message. I'm beginning to see planters, bags, pencilcases etc. made out of Vietnamese rice sacks quite a lot - Fair Trade vendors sell an increasing amount of the rice sack stuff, so that might be a good way to try to find one for yourself. I really like the combination of Fair Trade, recycling and exotic style.

I'm starting to like orange more and more. It's such an underrated colour and it's so happy and vibrant.
